The ancient stables: our lounge and dining room.
Where historically the horses and Chianine (local large white cows used for ploughing the land) where housed is the large lounge and dining room of Sant' Antonio Country Resort.
The lounge is used for wine and cookery courses or art & painting courses that we organise during various periods of the year.
On the odd occasion we let the lounge out to families or small groups of friends who wish to have a private area to themselves.
On request, we serve breakfast or dinner (for groups of 14 people or more) with various Tuscan delicacies and specialities accompanied by fine Tuscan wines.
The lounge with original walls made from travertine stone and bricks, has a large open fireplace and is furnished with a sofa set and 18th century wooden dinning tables, chairs and cupboards that contain fine Italian china & crockery, glass wear for water, long drinks, white and red wine as well as German quality cutlery.
Families with children.
We have 2 children and understand the efforts and requirements to travel and go on holiday. We kindly ask you to provide the ages of your children as we provide baby beds and will help you choose the best possible accommodation. This may perhaps be on one level with no stairs inside, no balconies and with gardens directly out side of your door, allowing you to hear your children whilst they are asleep and for you to enjoy a conversation under the Tuscan Stars with a good glass of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano.
For the odd concern about children perhaps not feeling well whilst on vacation; we live on the property and are available any time for such situations. Our own trusted Paediatrician is always available for our children and yours.
- A baby sitter is available on request (after 6pm) and we would be happy to reserve a table in close by restaurants where you can take pleasure in our local Tuscan specialities and wines as well as having complete peace of mind knowing that we can call you at the restaurant when ever necessary.
Sport in the Tuscan Country side.
Muscle Toning, Body Building and Sport & Beauty Therapy
- On occasions we provide accommodation for top sport athletes who need to keep training and in touch with the use of a fully equipped sport and fitness centre.
5 minutes drive from Sant' Antonio Country Resort is a newly built sport gym and fitness centre with professional instructors allowing you to keep active and in shape any day of the week or for body building athletes to keep in tone. The gym is fully equipped with all TechnoGym fitness and wellness machines and free weights.
- 3 minutes drive from Sant' Antonio are the Terme di Montepulciano which are famous for sulphur treatments. The establishment has a team of Doctors and Sport Therapists that treat International Athletes as well as daily massages on appointment for those who simply wish to lay back and treat themselves to a well earned beauty therapy.
- Beauty therapies and massages can be organised privately at Sant' Antonio.
Thermal Spas and sense of Wellness & Well-being in Tuscany.
The Orcia Valley is famous for its natural thermal springs, spas and beauty treatments. There are various spa towns such as Bagno Vignoni, San Casciano dei Bagni & Bagni San Filippo with naturally heated thermal pools built for wellness and well-being and for swimming even during the coldest days of the winter.

For your use we have 2 computers available 24 hour a day with high speed internet connection in our allocated "small business area" as well as WIFI connection allowing you to stay in contact with your friends, family and business.
Restaurants and Wineries
Within a 5 minute drive from Sant'Antonio we have various wonderful restaurants, coffee bars and small local food outlets. During your stay, we will be happy to discuss what local speciality you may wish to taste and where to have the best of its kind. If required, we will be happy to make reservations for you.
Montepulciano & Montalcino are perhaps some of the most important wine growing regions in Italy and we recommend a tour of at least one important winery. During your stay we can discuss the best time to incorporate a wine tour and tasting in an afternoon or morning that could suite you best. Again, we recommend reservations which we will be happy to do on your behalf.
